For months, I've been insisting this would happen big in November 2026 with the D's very likely retaking the House with high confidence and likely the Senate too BECAUSE OF PRESIDENT TRUMP and the Rs in Congress that have given away their power to him.

However, we got a profound sneak preview with the results of the elections today.

Democrats sweep the first major elections of Trump’s second term

This may be a wake up call to the Rs in Congress. Or will it?

Fox tonight is telling viewers that this was from BALLOT HARVESTING because the Ds hijacked the election system.

Right. It has nothing to do with Trumps behavior and actions because Trump is the best president in history.

Congrats to the Ds tonight!

The rejection of Clinton/Obama caused Trump 1.

The strong rejection of Trump 1 caused Biden/Harris.

The profound rejection of Biden/Harris caused Trump 2.

The very profound rejection of Trump will cause..............what's next!

Republicans Reprise Unfounded Claims of Widespread Election Interference

Prominent conservatives, including the president, sounded familiar alarms about voter suppression and other efforts to manipulate the vote on Election Day, without presenting evidence.

Trump helps me to be a better person and practice what some of our posts preach!

How's that?

It's easy to love people that are lovable because they behave in a way that makes us want to love, or at least like them. That's not a challenge.  Treating those people the way they treat us comes naturally and easily to all of us.

But then we have people like Donald Trump. For non MAGA, his hate spewing persona brings about a knee jerk, instinctive response of hating him back.

He deserves to be hated by those that he is attacking and hurting the most. He's not actually targeting metmike personally but I see so many of the people I care about getting hurt by him. Seeing the country that I love dearly being greatly damaged. Seeing the office of our president being tarnished. Many people of other countries being harmed. Watching him decimate the truth that I cherish. Poisoning the minds of people in his cult.

That is the type of person that gives us every reason to feel hatred towards them because they absolutely deserve to be hated.

There are times when I do feel that hatred and have to consciously remind myself to not give in to that.

Divert and convert that emotion into something different. Loving Trump is a bit too much. However, taking a step back and seeing this, instead of using emotions, using analysis of an incredibly fascinating and unprecedented  historical character that we are following in real time.

100 years from now, Trump will stand out in history books so profoundly that many books will have been written about how we got here and what's happening.

The story will have ended for almost a century and most people will know it.

Here in 2025, that intriguing history is being written every day in front of us. Like watching an incredibly suspenseful movie that has us on the edge of our seats.

Trump is the villain in our current events, political history movie being made here in 2025. I'll fight the urge to hate him and consider it anti hate training to make myself a better person!

Always speaking out against what's wrong about him and other things in the world that are wrong but doing it without damaging my own peace of mind.

Thank you, Donald Trump!

Hey MM,

To me this was a great Election Day! Hopefully this Republican drubbing will continue through next election and at least get the Dems the House.

Meanwhile, did you see this nonsense?!

Trump says Jewish people who support Zohran Mamdani for New York mayor are 'stupid'

Trump has threatened to withhold federal funding to New York City if Mamdani is elected mayor.

“Any Jewish person that votes for Zohran Mamdani, a proven and self professed JEW HATER, is a stupid person!!!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

Trump, a New York native, has repeatedly weighed in on the mayoral race, threatening to withhold federal funding from his hometown if Mamdani wins the election.

Thanks, Larry! Perfect example!

That's exactly the sort of thing that, in my mind triggers an initial, impulsive reaction that emotionally wants to hate Trump over it.

As you know, I'm extremely critical of Netanyahu and what Israel has been doing to Gaza the past 2+ years.

At the same time, I'm extremely critical of antisemitism and all racism in fact.

I was raised to see Jewish people today as ancestors of God's chosen people. Outside of that, my personal, more objective observations include great respect for the brilliance, tenacity and tremendous work ethnic of the many Jewish people I know and know of.

So the opinion about Jews and  the government of Israel (including their leader) right now are completely INDEPENDENT of each other.

Just like my opinion of Donald Trump is completely INDEPENDENT of my opinion of the country that I live in and love.

I believe the new mayor of NYC has expressed this clearly too. He is Muslim, of course so it might be MUCH harder to believe than a person raised in Catholic Schooling(St. Alphonsus for 12 years) that was taught a completely different religion which elevated the Israelites, God's chosen people.

The different religions are a fascinating topic in itself but Islam sees things a bit differently. There is actually commonality to the Jewish and Christian religions when you go back to the early portions of the Old Testament.

Regardless, the huge differences the past 2,000 years and the indoctrinated hatred in the Middle East between Arabs and Jews is reality.

But I will give all Jews and Arabs the benefit of the doubt and assume they feel like me when they say things like the new mayor of NYC does.

Trump on the other hand is clearly mischaracterizing/lying when he accuses this guy of hating Jews with 0 evidence. Ironically, Trump is the guy that spews out non stop hatred for anybody that doesn't support him. Him backing Cuomo might have hurt Cuomo more than helped him and its totally unacceptable for a president to be telling people how to vote and that he will with hold Fed funding illegally if his guy doesn't win.

This is how he's acting with Brazil (illegal 50% tariffs on them) and Argentina (40 billion bail out) based on his PERSONAL, political agenda and friendships.

He's abusing his power and using tax payers money to try to control every country that he can. Mr. America First, only applies to his MAGA and rich/political friends in our country.

My reluctance to support Mamdani was based on numerous interviews when he was asked directly if Hamas was a terrorist organization, he sidestepped the question instead of giving a direct answer.  But, as a friend of mine said, "what does that have to do with being mayor of NY city.'  I was torn between Cuomo and Mamdani.  I went to the voting booth and voted for and against a couple of referendums.  I chose not to vote for either candidate, but I'm open minded about Mamdani.  Give the next generation a chance.

As for Trump's role in the drubbing R's took last night, a picture is worth a thousand words.

joj,

I didn't want to put you on the spot earlier but was EXTREMELY interested in your take since this was YOUR election.

We can all discuss what we think about it but YOU actually live there and voted as well as being Jewish AND a democrat AND see Trump for who he really is.

Dang, you check all the boxes!
