Trump calls for ‘triple sabotage’ investigation over UN escalator, teleprompter, audio issues

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5520552-trump-escalator-teleprompter-issues/

While the White House has suggested others were to blame, the United Nations said in a statement that members of Trump’s own team were at fault.

Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the U.N. secretary-general, said in a statement that a videographer from Trump’s delegation “may have inadvertently triggered the safety function” on the escalator, causing it to stop abruptly.

“Our technician, who was at the location, reset the escalator as soon as the delegation had climbed up to the second floor,” Dujarric said.

The U.N. also determined that a White House staffer was operating the teleprompter for the president when it ran into technical problems, according to a source who spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.

When you surround yourself with incompetent people, this is what can happen. Blaming other people for your mistakes and your people's mistakes won't make it better!

Pirro is the 23rd current or former Fox News employee Trump has recruited for his administration since taking office earlier this year. However, his relationship with the network runs far deeper and longer than just this year nominees.

During his first administration, Trump regularly called Fox News hosts live on air to have impromptu, off-the-cuff interviews. He also allegedly would consult any number of hosts off the air, including Fox News powerhouse Sean Hannity.

Trump, however, decided to elevate that special relationship in his second administration by appointing hosts, many of whom have only ever had glowing praise for Trump during their broadcasts, to key Cabinet positions and high-profile roles. Comedian and TV host Bill Maher quipped on Friday night during Real Time with Bill Maher that "I've heard of state-run TV; this is TV run state."

did you not see just decide not to include the notes they found where people at the UN had been passing around......one conveniently mentioned stopping  the what? If you watch the tape our first lady, had she not been so agile, nearly took a fall. What if she were hurt during a stunt like this. OHh what a funny joke. That is odd though as the word joke was used during the Kirk rationalizations on Cnn, just glad their are only 12 people left watching that wretched organization or more people would be shooting and rioting. Poor old Scott Jennings over their trying everyday to being some sense but the others just keep getting worse.

Thanks, mcfarm!

I was not making a joke about it. Just making the valid point about all the incompetent people surrounding Trump(because he hires based on their allegiance to him and favors to him instead of them being qualified)  that have been responsible for so many problems this year.

RFK. Jr is the same way. He fired 600 employees and most of the qualified scientists and replaced them with anti vax, anti science people that agreed to be loyal to him.

When they do that, we should not expect the same outcomes that top notch, qualified and experienced people have provided in the past while doing those jobs.

I'm not just making this up or using words. We can see it clearly based on authentic facts:

“Trump wants a team of outlaws: likeminded pals who ignore laws, boundaries, ethics, norms, civility, respect, and manners,” writes Jill Lawrence of many nominees for top jobs in the second Donald Trump administration. “People whose unforced missteps, mistakes, and worse are now a badge of honor; a mark of achievement; a prerequisite for the job.”

United Nations explains why the escalator stopped as soon as Trump stepped on

His press secretary, however, viewed things much differently.

“If someone at the UN intentionally stopped the escalator as the President and First Lady were stepping on, they need to be fired and investigated immediately,” Karoline Leavitt wrote on X.

We look forward to getting the MAGA take on this, thanks in advance!

I just had a chance to listen to Trumps UN speech.

OMG! This had to be the most unhinged, confusing, contradictory speech is UN history!

I‘ll post it when back in the office.

I made many dozens of posts commenting on Bidens cognitive decline, starting from before he took office and tracking his continuing decline.

I seriously believe that Trump is much worse than Biden but his cognitive decline is in the mental illness realm. In reality, this is an order of magnitude more dangerous than Bidens confusion and struggle to communicate.

Biden had limitations on his functioning, especially late in the day and when he was tired. This is called Sundowning  syndrome and is very common in elderly with Alzheimer’  disease.

Trump’s mind  is still like the Energizer Bunny on steroids, even without much sleep and in the middle of the night.

Very unfortunately, his thinking is increasingly pathological and delusional. Driven by self serving interests, abusing his power, seeking revenge on his enemies, anybody he thinks hurt him and even people that disagree with him.

A week ago he admitted that he hated half of Americans because they disagree/oppose him.

This is so much more dangerous than Bidens confusion ever was on his worst day.

We have no idea what crazy thing he will come up with next.

The risk of a nuclear war with Russia is the highest ever. At least during the Cold War, we had sane presidents.
Trump is NOT sane and Putins actions the last 2 years in Ukraine tell us how much he respects human life and what he will do for Russia to win.

Trump and Putin are the perfect storm/combination to ignite a nuclear war. I’m not saying it will happen but just that the exact 2 personalities needed for a nuclear war insane, self serving  authoritarians that control the vast majority of the world’s nuclear weapons are now opposing each other in the war in Ukraine.

+++++—-

Just the way that Trump uses Truth Social in such a dysfunctional way to apply his leadership and commands in impulsive ways that intentionally maximize the attention he can get to inflate his galaxy sized ego instead of using consultation with experts and well thought out strategies is  especially alarming.

7 key moments from Trump’s U.N. speech

President Trump sounded like a complete lunatic!

Even in talking about the fake climate crisis he completely blew it by saying some crazy things. He made people like me, that use authentic facts to prove that we are having a climate optimum for most life and NOT a climate crisis wish that people like him were on the other side.

To start his speech.

Donald Trump: "I'm really good at predicting things"  "They're selling a hat. The hat says Trump was right about everything ..........and its true"

Only a delusions of grandeur-ism, pathologically thinking person starts a speech off by telling the world that he is right about everything, especially  when the authentic facts actually show that he is really wrong about many things.

In fact, the evidence below showed that he was WRONG 30,000 times during his 1st term. That doesn't even seem possible! That turned out to be 21 times/day!!!

We can listen to this unhinged speech in front of the United Nations and see that he likely bested his average of 21 times/day on Tuesday, September 23, 2025!!!

We should ask ourselves.

What impression does this leave for other countries?

False or misleading statements by Donald Trump

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_or_misleading_statements_by_Donald_Trump

During and between his terms as President of the United States, Donald Trump has made tens of thousands of false or misleading claims. Fact-checkers at The Washington Post documented 30,573 false or misleading claims during his first presidential term, an average of 21 per day.[1][5][6][7] The Toronto Star tallied 5,276 false claims from January 2017 to June 2019, an average of six per day.[2] Commentators and fact-checkers have described Trump's lying as unprecedented in American politics,[13] and the consistency of falsehoods as a distinctive part of his business and political identities.[14] Scholarly analysis of Trump's X posts found significant evidence of an intent to deceive.[15]

Seven years ago Trump's UN audience laughed, this year they were silent

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c179p4wvz29o

Donald Trump's speech to the United Nations was one of the clearest expositions of the way he sees the world, his ideology in its rawest form.

To his supporters, it will be seen as Trumpism unplugged - to his critics, Trumpism unhinged.

Over almost an hour, he took aim at his opponents and their ideas, picking them off one by one as he toured the world. He began at home, praising the United States and himself. He said the US was living through a golden age and repeated his much-disputed claim that he had personally ended seven wars, something he argued merited a Nobel Peace Prize.

Here, let me obliterate one of Trump's biggest lies while speaking earlier this week, about the United Nations making it harder for HIM to stop wars when its the 100%, diametrically opposed polar opposite of that.

Security Council: US votes against resolution on Gaza ceasefire

The United States once again vetoed a UN resolution demanding an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, following a vote in the Security Council on Thursday.

https://news.un.org/en/story/2025/09/1165881

‘No surprise’: US representative

The US is one of five permanent Council members who possess the right to veto.

The Security Council first met on the crisis the following day, behind closed doors.  Since then, the US has vetoed five other resolutions calling for a ceasefire, most recently in June.

More than 65,000 Palestinians have been killed since hostilities began, according to the Gaza health authorities.

It's soooo much worse than just this veto.

MM, Sorry you misunderstood. I knew you were not making a joke. The joke was from the idiots at the UN and guests on CNN not you. And much like the Kirk remarks none of it is or was funny. Much like late nite TV is now and exactly why it is fading. There are no Johnny Carsons left. The type who knew what he was there for and it most certainly was not to get involved in politics when his crowd came to get away from life's cruelty.

Thank you, mcfarm!

I greatly appreciate your reply even though we're on different sides here.

Sorry that I misunderstood the remark.

I will acknowledge that I do often try to use humor, as demonstrated above to confront many issues(NEVER on the Kirk assassination because the only humor about that is SICK humor).

A malfunctioning teleprompter or escalator  doesn't even show up on the very bottom of the scale to measure  the magnitude of important things in our world right now!
