Mike pointed out the true path in a previous thread.
The last significant game changer in American politics that deployed the message of love extinguishing hate, was Martin Luther King. But MLK jr had an ally in the White House in LBJ. Were a messenger to rise up and capture the hearts of Americans they would NOT find an ally in the White House. They would find a president looking to exploit his politidal opponents with his executive powers. He said so: "I will go after those on the left who have incited this violence." This same Trump has referred to his political opponents as vermin. Incitement indeed.
I fear, I'm sorry to say, this has parallels to the Reichstag fire. It's what authoritarians do.
"First they came for John Bolton....."
I don't know where this is heading, but I fear for the end of the Republic.
Well stated, joj!

Most folks will agree strongly with the above meme's.........but then spend the rest of the day, surrounding themselves with the bombardment of messaging and behavior of political leaders, some in the media and ESPECIALLY SOCIAL MEDIA and other message gatekeepers that completely contradict it.
MarketForum doesn't have nearly the following most of those other sources have. BUT SO WHAT!
The choices are:
1. Be part of the problem
2. Do nothing
3. Do something and be part of the solution!

Can America escape the spiral of political violence after Charlie Kirk’s killing?

Accessing extremism online has never been easier, the threat has never been higher, and the ideology of those conducting attacks has never been more splintered.

We can find dozens of articles/studies that select/target just one side in discussions. Here's the deal. If you are from the D party, you will read and believe ONLY articles similar to the one at the top.
If you are from the R party, you will read and believe ONLY articles similar to the one below that.
What happens is that this INCREASES the disparity in how each side feels because of cognitive bias. People seeking out information to confirm the ideology they believe in.
The internet offers an unlimited supply of sources that will tell you exactly what you want to believe.............'Ignorance is bliss".
It is almost impossible to stop this human nature trait and even more impossible to reverse it.
It I had 100 pieces of information about a very divisive topic, 50 supporting one side and 50 supporting the other side, all with equal credibility, most people will believe only the ones that support what they believe already.
It makes sense. In their minds, that is THEIR TRUTH. It causes their minds to accept only things that line up with THEIR TRUTH, which reinforces it.
In causes their minds to reject things that contradict that because those things are false based on THEIR TRUTH.
In essence, if THEIR TRUTH is flawed, they get dumber/have their intelligence stolen by their sources.
They never fact check THEIR TRUTH's sources because by their minds understanding is programmed to accept it unconditionally.
They either fact check things that contradict it or completely reject those facts.

Thanks,mcfarm!
BTW, I bash Fox News relentlessly here for their 1 sided broadcasting, making the world a divisive and dumber place but they ARE THE ONLY ONES ON TOP OF THIS STORY.
As previously stated, every once in awhile, even one of the worst hitters in MLB hits a grand slam.
In the world of divisive news, if you read/listen to only one side, you will believe lies/propaganda SOME OF THE TIME...........regardless of what 1 side you follow.
And you will miss grand slam authentic news and information every time the other side has it!
This doesn't just go for politics....it's goes for traders and PAID trading advice too!

Neither political party has a franchise on the truth.
If you believe one party all the time......................you will believe in lies some ofthe time.
