It's not like there's much competition but it expresses the value that I place on it.
And NOT because it agrees with me. I actually enjoy opinions that disagree with me the most on many topics to provide the other side and to cause me to look closer at the other side. ....and often, learn a few things while doing it!!
Regardless, that conversation was extremely uplifting. To see celebrities with millions of followers speaking out who, because they are Jewish will reach people that ordinarily would not be hearing this point.
As I've mentioned over a dozen times, I was indoctrinated at my wonderful Catholic School, St Alphonsus in Dearborn, MI (living 1/2 block from the Detroit city limit) to believe that today's Jews are the ancestors of God's chosen people, the Israelite's. I know a great deal about the history and customs of the Jewish people and have always admired and respected them for their brilliance/talent and accomplishments and amazing work ethic.
I was outraged after October 7, 2023 and started this thread because of it. Then, I observed the reaction by Israel and spent dozens of hours educating myself on the Middle East history, WELL BEYOND what what I knew previously and digested by a biased mind that thought Israel was ALWAYS the good guys. NEVER any exceptions. Basically, similar to how Fox News tells it today..............this is all the fault of Hamas and Israel is just defending itself and doing nothing wrong.
