Will the National guard squash the protesters or get them more riled up?

Despite Newsom and the Ds/MSM insisting it will make things worse, I lean towards it helping to keep more control over the situation.  However, this seems premature and going against the governor who should be the one with jurisdiction, could be another example of Trump abusing his powers?

Other thoughts?

There is a near 100% chance that protesting will INCREASE this Summer at MANY cities and this might be the beginning.

Fact check: National Guard was activated most often during the Civil Rights Era

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/06/14/fact-check-national-guard-activated-16-times-us/5319853002/

When and why has the Guard been activated on U.S. soil?

The National Guard has been activated at least 16 times at the federal level, according Dr. Richard Clark, historian for the National Guard Bureau.

Included in Clark's timeline are:

  • Whiskey Rebellion in 1792
  • Civil War from 1861-65
  • Against the Ku Klux Klan from 1866-1977
  • Great Railroad Strike in 1877
  • Desegregation of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas from 1957-58
  • Desegregation of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi in 1962
  • Desegregation of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1963
  • Integration of Alabama Public Schools in 1963
  • March from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965
  • Detroit Riots in 1967
  • 1968 King assassination riots in Chicago, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
  • New York City Postal Strike in 1970
  • 1980 Cuban Refugee Crisis
  • Hurricane Hugo in 1989
  • 1992 LA Riots
  • George Floyd protests in multiple locations nationwide in 2020

+++++++++++++++++++++

I remember vividly, as an 11 year old  when they were called to Detroit in July 1967 because of the riots(that were 3 miles northeast of our house).

How far would Dems have let the LA riots go if Trump hadn’t sent in the National Guard?

https://nypost.com/2025/06/08/opinion/how-far-would-dems-have-let-the-la-riots-go-if-trump-hadnt-sent-in-the-national-guard/

+++++++++++++++++++++

I think this is the most important point to make.

Last night, while I was watching CNN bashing the National Guard being called, I thought: "If I was a LA cop trying to control these crazies, risking my life and being completely overwhelmed and outnumbered, how would  I feel about the National Guard helping me out?"

Their perception of this seems no brainer.

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Newsom and other Ds content that sending the National Guard is what escalated the violence.

In other words, when a person is doing nothing wrong, then some cops show up at the scene..........it causes them to break the laws

It makes them targets for the lawbreakers, of course but how do you think that would hold up in court:

Rioter from LA: "Your honor, I have this psychological disorder that causes me to break the law when I see law enforcement or when Donald Trump does something I don't like!"

Judge: OK, I understand,  you were just exercising your Constitutional right to riot based on whatever upsets you........NOT!

I totally get them being upset because Trump did it or because they feel judged and controlled but hey, that is no excuse for breaking laws (vandalism and threatening people's lives).

Again, peaceful protesting is a LEGIT right and protected by the Constitution and most of the people there were doing this. Don't blame the cops for doing their jobs arresting the ones that were rioting or Trump for sending reinforcements to help the cops. BLAME THE RIOTERS.

1 side is giving the rioters a free pass right now and the good work that our very well trained National Guard does..........because their TDS won't allow a different interpretation.

What about those that were interfering in the process because they felt it was wrong?

I get them feeling that way and their sincerity and they may have a point.....but if we gave everybody in the country the right to obstruct legally conducted business, we wouldn't have a country.

This is NOT MLK peacefully protesting for civil rights for minorities. My parents raised me to strongly support causes like that.

1. MLK protests looked nothing like what we are witnessing in LA. It was the cops brutalizing the MLK protesters not the other way around.

2. Peacefully protesting to support illegal immigrants and their right to due process is a different cause. It's actually a good one but displays like we are seeing in LA right now are a black eye for that cause/movement. Nobody with authentic ethics respects rioters, vandalism, looting and violence.

3. A  minority at the protests are wrecking it for everybody else peacefully protesting for THEIR legit cause and exercising their freedom of speech, protected by the Constitution.

The 2 choices are:

Protests that have NO rioting/violence or NO protesting at all.  Don't blame the cops or authorities for doing their jobs. Blame the ones that violated the peaceful protesting needed to allow for a continuation of peaceful protesting.

If the people for this just cause.......due process for everybody, including illegal immigrants want to be more successful, they need strong leadership from some smart people with good communication and marketing skills at the top.

And especially the ability to find great examples of good illegal immigrants, making this country better that are being deported to use for their cause.

The use of Abrego Garcia for their cause was a catastrophic blunder of epic proportions.

Using a long lived member of a vicious gang(MS13)  that did human trafficking and beat the crap out of his wife for years was the perfect example............of somebody that we want the hell out of this country ASAP!

It would be an outrage if they release him back in the United States!!!

Give me a break on the FAKE Abrego Garcia that the media invented.  Hard working man, never convicted of a crime. Great husband and father.

This made it twice as bad! They picked the exact wrong guy, then when they get busted lying who he really is......it wrecks their future credibility.

I know they've picked some others that are much better and justified but the one that counts the most by far was a huge backfire.......and the damage is still playing out.

I can agree that Garcia was a good looking guy with lots of pictures of him smiling and with his kids. He probably loved his kids and maybe was a good dad in some respects, giving him the benefit of the doubt.

But he was the husband from hell (which is bad for the kids) and exactly the type of person we want the heck out of our country.

The Ds and MSM blew it when they went extremely beyond claiming that he deserved due process......DESPITE his major flaws.

They manufactured a great guy that doesn't exist for their cause and pretended that an immigration judge didn't already rule that he should be deported in 2019. ......just not to El Salvador where he would be a target of a rival gang because of his gang membership.

They pretended that it was all a huge mistake. No it wasn't. Trumps people messed up by sending him to the only country where rivals gangs would target him as an MS13 gang member. .........and the judge in 2019 ruled for him to be deported to anywhere EXCEPT El Salvador.

Now, we get to watch it all replayed again and the Ds/MSM have nothing legit to base their position on. So Trump is using it against them.

Attorney General Bondi said this:

I agree with Bondi’s statement about not tolerating criminal behavior and violence, especially when it is aimed at LEOs trying to do their jobs. To me that’s common sense/decency in a civil society. I’m all for law and order, something Republicans could usually be relied upon to be consistent on in the past.

But as the above image shows, Trump pardoning the violent Jan 6th criminals significantly is reducing the respect that is being given the Bondi statement by many due to the obvious double standard. They messed up bigly!

Thanks, Larry.

Actually it was meant to be here because this is about the strategy they should be using help their cause,  not hurt it.

Another thing about Trump's characterization here. He refers to it as being an insurrection.

Only a mentally ill person with pathological thinking would possibly think that THIS is an insurrection and what he did  after losing the 2020 election was something different.

But I've proven that many times  here with specific examples.

Trump’s broad definition of ‘insurrection’ looms over Los Angeles

Well just flipping thru the news at noon. They have not changed. Just keep using certain words and  make for far more dramatics in the lib world. Congressional group making  statement about LA. Hispanic congressman has to immediately attack Trump because well you know, he cannot help himself.

He says Trump is responsible just like Trump is responsible for every bad thing in the world. In fact he states Trump caused the death of 5 capitol police on Jan 6th. Yet he seems to dance right over the only fact that remains. Only 1 person died. A military service women shot by an untrained, unqualified DEI hire who had been previously been charged with firing his weapon recklessly and then leaving a loaded weapon in a Capitol restroom and not disciplined. What dies that lead to? Well shooting and killing the women and again not disciplined while claiming back pay and medals. But Trump killed 5 they say...just today again they said it. Its a sickness. A complete sickness no different than the gov of Cal or the mayor of LA gave.

Thanks, mcfarm!

I can see your point on this.

However, 5 people  dying as a result of the January 6th riot is correct using the accepted methods of how they calculate deaths/injuries from events.

Im  very familiar with this because of tracking severe weather deaths/injuries.

,  ,for instance, if a tornado rips thru a neighborhood,  deaths from the tornado don’t end immediately after it’s gone.

If later that night, a guy with a chain saw clearing a road from a fallen tree has a heart attack from over exerting himself, they will likely add him to the list of deaths caused by that tornado.

When  back on my computer I’ll provide you with the other 4 that died as a results of trumps January 6th riots.

mcfarm,

Since you brought it up, I'm happy to elaborate with some authentic facts for you. it's actually pointless to debate the number of deaths when we consider the big picture, some of which I copied below.

January 6 United States Capitol attack

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack

On January 6, 2021, the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. was attacked by a mob[39][40][41] of supporters of President Donald Trump in an attempted self-coup,[42] two months after his defeat in the 2020 presidential election. They sought to keep him in power by preventing a joint session of Congress from counting the Electoral College votes to formalize the victory of the president-electJoe Biden. The attack was unsuccessful in preventing the certification of the election results. According to the bipartisan House select committee that investigated the incident, the attack was the culmination of a plan by Trump to overturn the election.[43][44] Within 36 hours, five people died: one was shot by the Capitol Police, another died of a drug overdose, and three died of natural causes, including a police officer who died of a stroke a day after being assaulted by rioters and collapsing at the Capitol.[d][34][45] Many people were injured, including 174 police officers. Four officers who responded to the attack died by suicide within seven months.[35] Damage caused by attackers exceeded $2.7 million.

Called to action by Trump[47][48] on January 5 and 6, thousands of his supporters gathered in Washington, D.C. to support his false claims that the 2020 election had been "stolen by emboldened radical-left Democrats"[49][50] and demand that then-vice president Mike Pence and Congress reject Biden's victory.[51] Starting at noon on January 6 at a "Save America" rally on the Ellipse,[52] Trump gave a speech in which he repeated false claims of election irregularities[53] and said "If you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore".[54][55] As Congress began the electoral vote count, thousands of attendees, some armed, walked to the Capitol, and hundreds breached police perimeters.[56][57] Among the rioters were leaders of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepersmilitia groups.[58]

The FBI estimates 2,000–2,500 people entered the Capitol Building during the attack.[59][60][61] Some participated in vandalism and looting,[62][63] including in the offices of then-House speakerNancy Pelosi and other Congress members.[64] Rioters assaulted Capitol Police officers[65] and journalists.[66] Capitol Police evacuated and locked down both chambers of Congress and several buildings in the Complex.[67] Rioters occupied the empty Senate chamber, while federal law enforcement officers defended the evacuated House floor.[68][69]Pipe bombs were found at the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters, and Molotov cocktails were discovered in a vehicle near the Capitol.[70][71] Trump resisted sending the National Guard to quell the mob.[72] That afternoon, in a Twitter video,[73] he restated false claims about the election and told his supporters to "go home in peace".[74][75] The Capitol was cleared of rioters by mid-evening,[76] and the electoral vote count was resumed and completed by the morning of January 7, concluding with Pence declaring the final electoral vote count in favor of President-elect Biden. Pressured by his cabinet, the threat of removal, and resignations, Trump conceded to an orderly transition of power in a televised statement.[77][78]

A week after the attack, the House of Representatives impeached Trump for incitement of insurrection, making him the only U.S. president to be impeached twice.[79] After Trump had left office, the Senate voted 57–43 in favor of conviction, but fell short of the required two-thirds, resulting in his acquittal.[80] Senate Republicans blocked a bill to create a bipartisan independent commission to investigate the attack,[81][65] so the House instead approved a select investigation committee.[e][82][83] They held public hearings,[84] voted to subpoena Trump,[85] and recommended that the Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecute him. Following a special counsel investigation, Trump was indicted on four charges,[86][87] which were all dismissed following his reelection to the presidency.[88] Trump and elected Republican officials have promoted a revisionist history of the event by downplaying the severity of the violence, spreading conspiracy theories, and portraying those charged with crimes as hostages and martyrs.[89]

Of the 1,424 people then charged with federal crimes relating to the event,[90] 1,010 pled guilty,[90] and 1,060 were sentenced, 64% of whom received a jail sentence.[90] Some participants were linked to far-right extremist groups or conspiratorial movements, including the Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, and Three Percenters,[91][92] some of whom were convicted of seditious conspiracy.[93]Enrique Tarrio, then chairman of the Proud Boys, received the longest sentence, a 22-year prison term.[94] On January 20, 2025, upon taking office, Trump granted clemency to all January 6 rioters, including those convicted of violent offenses.

Attempts to overturn the presidential election

Main article: Attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election

Joe Biden, of the Democratic Party, defeated incumbent Republican Party president Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election.[95] Trump and other Republicans attempted to overturn the election, falsely claiming widespread voter fraud.[96]

A screenshot of Donald Trump's personal verified Twitter account (@realDonaldTrump). The tweet reads, in all caps, "I Won This Election, by a Lot!". Below the text, Twitter added a label saying, "Official sources may not have called the race when this was Tweeted". The tweet was timestamped at 10:36 p.m. on November 7, 2020. The source of the tweet says "Twitter for iPhone".
Trump's tweet shortly after polls had closed

Within hours after the polls closing, while votes were still being tabulated, Trump declared victory, demanding counting be halted.[97] He began a campaign to subvert the election, through legal challenges and extralegal effort. Trump's attorneys concluded there was neither a factual foundation nor valid legal argument for challenging the election results.[50] Despite those analyses, Trump sought to overturn the results by filing sixty lawsuits, including two that came before the Supreme Court. Those challenges were all rejected by the courts, for lack of evidence or legal standing.[96]

Trump then mounted a campaign to pressure Republican governors, secretaries of state, and state legislatures to nullify results by replacing slates of Biden electors with slates pledged to Trump, or by manufacturing evidence of fraud; Trump's role in the plot to use fake electors led to prosecutions in Georgia and in federal court. He demanded lawmakers investigate ostensible election "irregularities", such as by conducting signature matches of mailed-in ballots, disregarding any prior analytic efforts. Trump made inquiries regarding the possibility of invoking martial law to "re-run" or reverse the election[96][98] and appointed a special counsel to find instances of fraud, despite conclusions by federal and state officials that such cases were few or non-existent. Trump ultimately undertook neither step.[96] Trump repeatedly urged Pence to alter the results and stop Biden from taking office. None of those actions would have been within Pence's constitutional powers as vice president and president of the Senate. Trump repeated this call in his rally speech on the morning of January 6.[99]

Numerous scholars, historians, political scientists, and journalists have characterized these efforts to overturn the election as an attempted self-coup by Trump and an implementation of the "big lie"

Allegation of assaulting a Secret Service driver

In June 2022, Cassidy Hutchinson testified that she was told by then-White House deputy chief of staffTony Ornato that after Trump got into the presidential SUV following his rally, hoping to drive to the Capitol as his supporters marched there, his lead Secret Service agent Robert Engel told him it was too dangerous and informed him they were returning to the White House. Hutchinson said Ornato told her Trump became irate, attempted to grab the steering wheel of the vehicle, and lunged at Engel's clavicle.

On July 14, 2022, CNN published a corroborating account by a Metropolitan Police officer in the motorcade, who told of the "heated exchange" Trump had with his Secret Service detail when they refused to take him to the Capitol following his rally on January 6

Failure to end the attack

After the June 9 hearing, Congressman Tom Rice reiterated his long-held view of Trump's conduct, saying, "He watched it happen. He reveled in it. And he took no action to stop it. I think he had a duty to try to stop it, and he failed in that duty".

Participants, groups, and criminal charges

Main article: Criminal proceedings in the January 6 United States Capitol attack

By November 2023, over 1,200 defendants had been charged for their role in the attack.[38] The attackers included some of Trump's longtime and most fervent supporters from across the United States.[372] The mob included Republican Party officials, current and former state legislators and political donors, far-right militants, white supremacists,[372] conservative evangelical Christians,[m] and participants of the "Save America" Rally.[373] According to the FBI, dozens of people on its terrorist watchlist were in D.C. for pro-Trump events on the 6th, with the majority being "suspected white supremacists".[374] Some came heavily armed and some were convicted criminals, including a man who had been released from a Florida prison after serving a sentence for attempted murder.[372]

Last Sons of Liberty,[375]Rod of Iron Ministries,[376] and Groyper Army[377] were directly involved but non-conspiring groups. NSC-131[378] and Super Happy Fun America[379] both were involved in the attack and allegedly conspired, though SHFA denies this.[380] Multiple factions of the Three Percenters were also involved in the attack, including "DC Brigade", "Patriot Boys of North Texas",[381] and "B Squad". The B Squad and DC Brigade conspired with the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers

Casualties and suicides

Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick died the day after the attack.

Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old Air Force veteran, was fatally shot in the upper chest by Lt. Michael Leroy Byrd while attempting to climb through the shattered window of a barricaded door.[468][s]

Brian Sicknick, a 42-year-old responding Capitol Police officer, was pepper-sprayed during the attack and had two thromboembolic strokes the next day,[473][474] after which he was placed on life support[9] and soon died.[475][476] The D.C. chief medical examiner found he died from a stroke, classifying his death as natural,[477] and said that the designation of natural causes is "used when a disease alone causes death. If death is hastened by an injury, the manner of death is not considered natural".[34] The coroner commented that "all that transpired played a role in his condition".[45][474][478] While some accounts maintain he was struck in the head during the riots, he was not found to have died from blunt-force trauma. No signs of any injuries were found during medical examination.[479]

Rosanne Boyland, 34, died of an amphetamine overdose during the attack, rather than, as was initially reported, from injuries sustained from being crushed beneath other rioters.[480] When the crowd of rioters moved from on top of her, she was found dead. Her death was ruled as accidental by the D.C. medical examiner's office.[34] Her mother, Cheryl Boyland, told NBC News: "She was not doing drugs. The only thing they found was her own prescription medicine".[481]

Kevin Greeson, 55; and Benjamin Philips, 50, died naturally from coronary heart disease and hypertensive heart disease, respectively. There was no indication that they participated in the riot.[34][31]

Four officers, from various police departments, who responded to the attack committed suicide in the days and months that followed.[35][482] Capitol Police officer Howard Charles Liebengood died by suicide three days after the attack.[483] D.C. Metropolitan Police officer Jeffrey Smith, who was injured in the attack, died by suicide from a gunshot wound to the head at George Washington Memorial Parkway on January 15, after a misdiagnosed concussion;[484] his death was found to be in line of duty.[485] In July, two more officers who responded to the attack died by suicide: Metropolitan Police officer Kyle Hendrik DeFreytag was found on July 10, and Metropolitan Police officer Gunther Paul Hashida was found on July 29.[486]

Some rioters[t] and 174 police officers were injured, of whom 15 were hospitalized, some with severe injuries.[36] All had been released from the hospital by January 11.[488]

Inflammatory speech while knowing of weapons

During the "Save America" rally, Trump delivered a speech filled with violent imagery while knowing that some of his supporters were armed. He demanded that armed supporters be allowed to enter the rally, and later instructed the crowd to march on the US Capitol.[196][325] In a December 21, 2021, statement, Trump falsely called the attack a "completely unarmed protest". The Department of Justice said in a January 2022 official statement that over 75 people had been charged, in relation to the attack, with entering a restricted area while armed with "a dangerous or deadly weapon", including some armed with guns, stun guns, knives, batons, baseball bats, axes, and chemical sprays.[326] According to testimony from Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, a Secret Service official had warned Trump that protestors were carrying weapons, but Trump wanted the magnetometers used to detect metallic weapons removed so armed supporters could enter the rally.[327] According to Hutchinson, when warned, Trump said:

I don't fucking care that they have weapons, they're not here to hurt me. They're not here to hurt me. Take the fucking mags away. Let my people in. They can march to the Capitol from here, let the people in and take the mags away

Department of Defense leadership's refusal to send Guard

Acting-Secretary Christopher Miller (top left), whose appointment had prompted concerns of a right-wing military coup, failed to authorize the National Guard to deploy until after the Capitol had been secured and Trump had called for supporters to "go home". Walter E. Piatt (top right) and Charles Flynn (bottom left) participated in a 2:26 p.m. call denying deployment of the guard, though the military did not admit Flynn's role for weeks after the attack. Daniel R. Hokanson (bottom right) placed calls to ensure the Virginia and Maryland National Guard would not move until given explicit permission by the Pentagon

On January 3, acting defense secretary Miller had been ordered by Trump to "do whatever was necessary to protect the demonstrators" on January 6.[148] The following day, Miller issued orders which prohibited deploying D.C. Guard members with weapons, helmets, body armor, or riot control agents without his personal approval.[150]Prior to the attack Trump had floated the idea with his staff of deploying 10,000 National Guardsmen, though not to protect the Capitol, but rather "to protect him and his supporters from any supposed threats by left-wing counterprotestors"

2025 pardons and commutations

See also: Pardon of January 6 United States Capitol attack defendants

On January 20, 2025, on his last day in office, U.S. president Joe Biden granted pardons to all members of the House Select Committee that had investigated the January 6 attack, as well as their staff and the officers who testified.[597] Later that day, on the first day of his second term, U.S. president Donald Trump issued a proclamation granting clemency to approximately 1,200 individuals convicted for their involvement in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, and dismissing the cases of the remaining approximately 300 charged individuals. The pardon extended to those charged with vandalism and assaults on law enforcement officers, including members of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers.[25] Following the pardons, Trump ordered the DOJ to purge previously published press releases about the arrests and convictions of those pardoned.[598] Soon after, video evidence of the attack likewise began being purged from government databases

I admit that I voted for Trump because:

1. Mainly because I knew that he was the only person that would try to end the war in Ukraine. I had other reasons (energy/climate reality) but that was the main one.

2. That's HOW BAD Biden/Harris were the past 4 years.  They got Trump elected. The Ds got Trump elected. The fake crimes and convictions in NY helped get Trump elected.

point being the congressman with no brain did not say 5 people died as a result. He said Pres Trump was responsible for the deaths of   5 capitol police officers. He was implying trump would also be responsible for police deaths in LA....huge difference to the people you describe who died

All he did was prove he had no brain or atleast one ate up full with TDS with the cup running over

I hear you on that point, mcfarm.

Blaming Trump for the death of any cops in LA and not the rioters is absurd.

Using that rationale, every time a cop is killed on the job it was the fault of whoever gave them the assignment to fight crime and not the criminal that caused it.

Dugh! Fighting crime is THEIR JOB!

Did he usurp his powers to call out the National Guard in California against the objections of the governor and mayor?

Alot of people think he did. The last time this happened was when President Johnson sent the National Guard to Alabama in 1965 to protect civil rights protesters against the strong objection of the racist governor, George Wallace.

As I insisted vehemently earlier this year, now that Summer is here, the protesting is going to massively ramp up around the country.

Activists plan more events Tuesday in New York, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. A curfew covering a compact area of downtown Los Angeles is likely, the city's mayor said.

If the last election was held today, would Trump still win?

For sure I would not vote for him......... or for Harris.

The disparity in news coverage is the most extreme ever between Fox and the MSM. I won't bother to repeat it.

One side goes to their source(s)  to hear the news spun to how they like it.

The other side, to their source(s) to hear the exact same situation described differently so it lines up with how they like it.

many of your posts point out one thing. We need law and order in this country after years of neglect. Thank you libs for this mess. Newsome gives major address????WTF. Last time he gave a major address he was graduating kindergarten. Again with leaders like Newsome and that mayor of LA the riots would burn the city and the looters would celebrate with loads of stolen goods. Great model they got there.

We should also consider the fact that the national guard and marines aren’t free.

Estimates for the cost are around 134 million. That’s a lot!
With protests becoming widespread around the country, this could add up to a much larger amount of money.

Some extreme libs at another board admit they don’t care about arson/property damage because of the statement it makes.

One lib actually said this:

corporate property? there's insurance.

and I have constantly said WHO WILL THINK OF THE BUILDINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I replied with this:

What do you have against property and casualty insurance companies? Also, increased claims result in increased property insurance premiums for all, which then results in increased rent. What do you have against property owners and renters?

Then that lib replied back with:

just f*ck off already

To which I replied:

If that’s all you have, you know you lost the debate.

Then a 2nd lib says this about my posts:

people are losing their constitutional rights and some americans are whining about property

we aren't going to make it, folks.

The libs are not helping fight the cause of Trump overreach with attitudes like this about property damage imho. And it just gives Trump unnecessary ammunition.  :(

Very excellent point, Larry!

People are getting really riled up about this on both sides and neither of them will look at this objectively.

Fox and the MSM always differ on news coverage but this time is different. It's FEEDING the outrage that will serve as the emotion for riots.

1. Fox has some good points on rioting being bad but at the same time, they completely ignore why the other side is upset and in fact, antagonize them and demean them which adds fuel to their fire because Trump and his people are doing the same thing in ignoring their concerns.

2. The MSM are cheerleaders for the cause and the protesting.

Pentagon estimates sending Marines, National Guard to LA will cost $134M

https://thehill.com/policy/defense/5341983-defense-secretary-los-angeles-protest-budget/

+++++++++++++++

This is for 1 city and their protesting/rioting. LA is the epicenter as a Trump target and for illegal immigrants/liberal thinking, so maybe this won't be as much of an issue elsewhere.

However, massive protesting movements start like this. The George Floyds protesting/rioting started like this.

No question that Trump's OVER reactions are an attempt to get ahead of it but the media/Ds are sabotaging his efforts by twisting it into a reason for people to be much MORE upset and  to PROTEST MORE.

That's what seems very likely this Summer.

+++++++++++++++

Here's something to think about.

The George Floyd protests were about a good cause that especially related to police brutality which, in reality impacts very few people (mostly people breaking laws and minorities)..............if they had REMAINED PEACEFUL!

Part of the reaction was also people upset with Trump.

This time, it's 100% about Trump. His immigration policies but this time there is soooooo much more. His tariffs. His corrupt pardons. His blatant abuse of power and violations of the Constitution. His big (not) beautiful bill.  In 2020, he hadn't caused an Insurrection. There is soooooooo much more that impacts soooooo many more people in 2025. In fact EVERYBODY!

That's why people COULD find reasons that they are PERSONALLY impacted more than 2020. How that plays out, I don't know but there are some elements to massively fuel protesting/riots of epic proportions.

The Ds and MSM will be dumping more fuel on the fires. This is exactly what they want. Not the rioting but an enraged people that are speaking out and acting out against Trump.

There is no way that Trump will tolerate it.

Here's something to think about. Trump's actions could very well crush the anarchists, agitators, looters and opportunists with arrests. Those are the ones that cause the riots.

But will he deter the sincere, peaceful protestors that are outraged and will likely not be arrested for peacefully protesting?

The justified outrage over Trump this time is so much greater than at any time for Trump or for any other political person in my lifetime.

I imagine it was much greater for Hitler in WW2 and look what our country did to take that SOB out!

Sorry to bring up, Hitler. People that claim Trump is another Hitler are full of doo doo but there are plenty of folks that believe that. Hitler killed 6 million Jews in concentration camps, man! It's an insult to our intelligence, humanity  and to those Jews to compare Trump with Hitler.

He is an authoritarian leader with 100% certainty, acting in a very unique fashion compared to other authoritarian leaders because our democracy is still functioning in a way that is opposing the stuff he does which violates the Constitution. Most authoritarians in the past had full control and completely crushed their opposition.

The peaceful protesting this Summer is one thing that he will not be able to stop as well as tons of other things going thru the court system.

Tell me this description below doesn't sound just like President Trump!

Authoritarian leadership style

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authoritarian_leadership_style

An authoritarian leadership style is described as being as "leaders' behavior that asserts absolute authority and control over subordinates and [that] demands unquestionable obedience from subordinates."[1] Such a leader has full control of the team, leaving low autonomy within the group. The group is expected to complete the tasks under very close supervision, while unlimited authority is self-bestowed by the leader. Subordinates' responses to the orders given are either punished or rewarded. A way that those that have authoritarian leadership behaviors tend to lean more on "...unilateral decision-making through the leader and strive to maintain the distance between the leader and his or her followers.

Branches of the U.S. government

Learn about the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the U.S. government.

                        https://www.usa.gov/branches-of-government

The Constitution of the United States divides the federal government into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. This ensures that no individual or group will have too much power.

How each branch of government provides checks and balances

The ability of each branch to respond to the actions of the other branches is the system of checks and balances.

Each branch of government can change acts of the other branches:

  • The president can veto legislation created by Congress. He or she also nominates heads of federal agencies and high court appointees.
  • Congress confirms or rejects the president's nominees. It can also remove the president from office in exceptional circumstances.
  • The Justices of the Supreme Court, nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate, can overturn unconstitutional laws.

The Federal Government is composed of three distinct branches: legislative, executive, and judicial, whose powers are vested by the U.S. Constitution in the Congress, the President, and the Federal courts, respectively. A look at the history and symbolism of military parades in the U.S.

I respect and support our brave soldiers in the world's greatest military.  Historically, they don't get nearly the recognition they deserve.

Our soldiers in the Vietnam War were crapped on when they came back. Some didn't come back. Some had serious PTSD. Some had life long illness from the damage of Agent Orange. They should have been treated much better.

It was a bad war but they were victimized 2 times.

1. Being sent there, many without a choice to risk their lives and be subjected to horrific conditions.

2. Then come back and get sheet on because of the unpopularity of their war.

3. They were no less brave than the  United States soldiers in WW2 that saved the world and were welcomes as heros the rest of their lives.

Anyway, don't get me wrong about our military and brave, patriotic men and women when I object to this over the top, expensive parade which, unfortunately is getting tons of bad press because of the guy behind it.

In essence, it's counterproductive because its turned into a political event where only the Rs support it and the Ds are turned off.

That is sad for our military because they should be supported by EVERYBODY.

Previous military parades were in fact supported by both parties, often with more legit reasoning. The circumstances(military in the LA right now) and the very politically divisive person behind this, sadly will have a negative impact with tens of millions of people.

This isn't about who is right and who is wrong but an objective evaluation of  whether this is going to accomplish what an event like this should be intended to do. .....bring Americans together from both parties to celebrate and recognize our brave, patriotic and well trained military.

It's NOT all the Ds fault either for not supporting the event.

Trump's behavior has alienated him and many of his actions thru countless of his own unforced errors and manner in which he disrespects others.

Sadly, that DOES greatly taint this military parade.

Regardless of Trumps tactics with ICE  the last administration of Biden/Harris absolutely caused this problem and it got both of them fired.

Trump's was elected to fix their problem(s).

I am VERY strongly for increasing LEGAL immigration and giving all those legal immigrants a path to citizenship, if they want it.

Biden/Harris completely violated any reasonable standard by INTENTIONALLY gushing in illegal immigrants with no vetting...... and lied to us while they did it as did his doo doo secretary of homeland security.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alejandro_Mayorkas

++++++++++++

Extremely sadly, the ones that those powerful D players did this to for their political agenda, the illegal immigrants are now paying the price.

The VAST majority of these illegal immigrants are good people just looking for a better life.

Most of them came here assuming that Biden's method's were acceptable and there would be no consequences to them breaking into the country because nobody stopped them. In fact they were transported around the country at the expense of US taxpayers. Why wouldn't they get the wrong impression about the importance of being a LEGAL immigrant when the last administration made it clear that this was totally OK.

Everybody will blame Trump but Biden/Harris caused this and Americans voted for Trump to fix it.

I voted for Trump to end the war in Ukraine but what Biden/Harris did to these people was also important to me and more importantly to the majority of LEGAL voters in the last election.

Let me remind you of what that situation was like just before the election.

Springfield, OH was completely overwhelmed, like were many other US cities and the MSM and Ds were just as busy covering that up like they were covering up Biden's major cognitive losses.

Trump said something really dumb about eating pets and the media wanted to focus on that instead of the real facts.

Well, there are consequences to:

1. Actions like the Biden/Harris administration caused

2. To elections that fire those people because of what they did to our country.

3. Blame them for this and for Trump getting elected.

correcting myself after watching more testimony from J 6th. Seems the SRg of Arms must ask the speaker for the Gurad in Dc. By the way they hide this from the public but the speaker and chief liar about that day was none other than the witch Pelosi.

Much like the phone calls [2] that Trump gave Newsome and he directly bold faced lied about both. Trump actually verified with official Presidential communication timeline the Newsome lies and those in charge verified the Pelosi lies....but as we know those facts rarely were reported.

What happened to Padilla was shocking. And the MAGA response has been ominous.

The thugification of the Trump administration is not a new phenomenon, but it has rarely been so graphically on display.

https://www.msnbc.com/top-stories/latest/padilla-removed-trump-normalization-of-violence-rcna212944

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I watched the ENTIRE video numerous times, along with the circumstances before having an opinion.

1. Kristi Noemi was making her opening statement and the floor was NOT open for questions.

2. Padilla rudely interrupted her, obviously angry and started moving in her direction while he continued to shout which 100% triggered a threat by security that did a wonderful job at removing the threat. Noemi was NOT the one telling them to do this, THEY WERE DOING THE JOB THAT ALL GOOD SECURITY DOES FOR BOTH PARTIES.

3. While they were removing him in the room, he continued to resist hard and shout his message NOT cooperating.

4. The MSM and Padilla have been exploiting this and turning it into something that it wasn't.

5. They are sending us a subtle, really bad message about following rules. If you are upset about something, you don't need to respect the speaker during their opening statement. You don't need to comply with security doing their job.

6. Trying to MIScharacterize this to mean that people that disagree with Trump's message aren't allowed to disagree is complete bs.  Kristi Noemi later, had a private meeting with Padilla for 15 minutes using the proper protocol so that he could express his concerns.

7. Who thinks  it's ok, when a speaker is doing their opening statement, for people in the room to just interrupt them by shouting and then continue shouting as they resist being removed???? Then to use that as an example of good behavior and the security doing their jobs in a superb way are the bad guys?

Reminds me of this similar display of bad behavior by a fellow congressman.

Houston Congressman Al Green removed from address to joint session of Congress
