I gave it the old college try. Decided I could not take it anymore and went back to grit TV, the my usual Dateline.

I'm impressed that you tried, mcfarm.

This is usually not my kind of tv either(never watched or care to watch a broadway show- I love singing/music when thats all there is but not during shows).

However, I viewed it as sort of a history lesson and for sure, watching a first of its kind because it was on tv . Opinionated history lesson of course and followed up by the CNN taking heads having a discussion tying it to the relevance today.

That discussion was more fascinating and loaded with strong opinions.

I'll refrain from stating taking any sort of stand or mentioning 2025 dynamics in this thread but its great if anybody else wanted to do that here.

I was chief meteorologist at WEHT, Evansville when it was a CBS affiliate from 1982-1993(they switched to ABC shortly after that), so being in that business certainty gave a unique appeal to my sense of entertainment.

Good Night, and Good Luck (play)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Night,_and_Good_Luck_(play)

Good Night, and Good Luck is a historical drama play written by George Clooney and Grant Heslov. It is adapted from their 2005 film and focuses on the conflict between veteran CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow and U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy. The play's Broadway premiere in March 2025, directed by David Cromer, stars Clooney as Murrow, making his Broadway debut

++++++++++++++++

CNN had been advertising this play all day long, every day for quite some time and I was getting extremely tired of the same ad played over and over. and over.
