Since he has been advocating far all sorts of things, including wacko, unconventional treatments, we know that when he believes in something he DOES strongly advocate for it. His refusing to advocate for the measles vaccine, in fact refusing to answer the question means that he must still be against the measles vaccine but won't say it. This makes the most sense because of his long history of being ANTI vax and we already knew this about him.

I have 2 new thoughts on this.
1. Promising that he would have the answer in such a short period of time suggests that he's already decided what the answer is and now he's going to "find" it by handpicking the studies he wants to use that support what he want to show. Seriously, how can authentic science with hundreds of brilliant scientists that have studied this for decades and still are unsure, suddenly discover the answer in a few months because a new NON scientist sheriff is in town that believes vaccines cause autism?
2. He insisted that he will find it so quickly by replication of the previous studies. She asked him what good that would do. Kennedy replied that he would look at all the studies and decide which ones are the best, then replicate them.
BINGO!!!
He is going to hand pick the studies that he likes because they show what he wants to show, likely that vaccinations cause autism and focus on using them as his starting point. Betcha he does NOT use many studies that disprove his theory. I'm speculating on this based on who this guy has been and is currently. Maybe he'll surprise us and actually practice the scientific method for the first time in his life.
Doing that would require him to pick at least as many studies that show the opposite of what he believes to try to validate them. It's only when you are sincerely unable to validate the position that is the opposite of yours that you can have genuine confidence that your theory/position is right.

Think about it. What other profession features you coming in every day(even the same day) and looking at weather models that show you that your last forecast was wrong because you are looking at better, fresher data and the objective is to hurry up and update the NEW forecast ASAP and bury the old one forever.
Then, the next day and every future day, trying to find reasons for why that last forecast is wrong and celebrate being able to make the forecast EVEN BETTER!
Yes, it's nice to be able to call an event accurately over a week in advance. But the models are flawed because the equations that represent the physical laws of the atmosphere are not perfect and we can't measure every square inch of the atmosphere (there are big data gaps in places where data matters).
Very small errors will grow over time. It's EXPECTED to be wrong with the extended forecast. ...........a lot.
No serious meteorologist would forecast next Thursday's weather for Evansville, IN for instance, then spend the next 6 days only going to places or models that show that forecast is right(even if it means using OLD data) and ignoring everything else so they never have to change it.
That's what most people do with most things in their lives, don't they?
At least in this profession, we are trained to practice the scientific method 365 days a year.
So a meteorologist is constantly HELD ACCOUNTABLE by virtue of having to reconcile the actual weather when it happens with the forecast before hand.
How will JFK be held accountable in the same way if he comes out and tells us that vaccines cause autism?
Answer: He CAN'T be.
In the real world, testing of his SPECULATIVE THEORY will take many years. Be it wrong or be it right. In his case, the evidence will be what studies that he decides to use. Since there will likely be other studies that contradict or that show something different as well as many other scientists that disagree........it's his speculative opinion. It would likely take many, many years to prove this but somehow, he claims he will have the answer later this year. It's ludicrous to make this claim that he will discover the reason for autism so quickly, ESPECIALLY since he says it will come from using old studies that HE PICKS and then HE replicates.
It's possible that he could learn new things or legitimately prove his theory with BETTER studies that confirm his theory.
But he can't already know that will happen and predict the time frame for it before it happens if he's being open minded and practicing the authentic scientific method. Having already predicted that, tells us to be extra skeptical of whatever it is that he does find.

Companies using fraudulent marketing schemes have used health claims like this throughout history to sell their products. But this is supposed to be the top authority in the country about health. There are only 2 possibilities here.
1. He is blatantly ignorant about basic health and human nutrition.
2. He thinks enough Americans are blatantly ignorant about basic health and human nutrition that he can sell human nutrition fraud as a victory and use it as marketing scheme to show how he's accomplishing MAHA.

Cane sugar is almost the same as other forms of sugar used for sweeteners.
One reason that people think otherwise is because of dishonest marketing by companies attempting to market their products as healthier because of X, Y an Z that includes cane sugar instead of other types of added sugars.
I actually knew this 50 years ago but only because of studying human nutrition, being a body builder and future scientist.
As young adults, many people were buying books about science fiction or history or romance novels(my wife's favorite as a young adult) to read for entertainment, I would buy books about human nutrition, body building, medicine and science and have just as much, if not more enjoyment because I was getting an education, in addition to the entertainment.

So this is what I would recommend and have been using myself for decades to minimize consuming excess calories from sugar that has almost no nutrients and is especially harmful to people with diabetes, or reactive hypoglycemia(like me) or that are overweight or that want to keep from being overweight.
Get used to drinking the sugar free version of the soft drink that you like that has sugar in it. They will taste crappy for a short while but you'll get used to it and be MUCH healthier for it.
When possible use artificial sweeteners to replace sugar in recipes for everything. You can try different ones to decide which ones taste the best to you. Very small amounts have a massively amplified sweetening impact on our taste buds compared to actual sugars that are loaded with empty calories and no benefits.
I consume 0 added sugar in everything that I eat or make. I also use 4 or 5 different sweeteners, so that my consumption of any one of them is much less than an amount that could cause an issue from use of just that one for everything, all the time, even though they have all proven to be safe.
I don't eat sweets ever. I do make my own frozen Greek yogart product, using fat free, plain 0 added sugar yogarts. I add tons of jet black cocoa, peanut powder and sugar free chocolate pudding mix and then a couple of sugar substitute sweeteners, then freeze it.
That's just an example of how I do it. There are 100+ other things that can be made without sugar that still taste sweet and yummy WITHOUT all the empty, extra calories and blood sugar spiking impacts of real sugar.

“Do you accept the fact that a million Americans died from COVID?” Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., asked.
“I don’t know how many died,” Kennedy said. “I don’t think anybody knows.”
Kennedy cited “data chaos” at the CDC as a barrier to knowing this information, despite the agency having the specific number — more than 1.2 million Americans died of COVID — on its website.
Warner followed up by asking the health secretary if he believed vaccines had prevented COVID deaths. (This number, too, exists and was later cited by a Republican senator during the hearing.)
“I would like to see the data and talk about the data,” Kennedy said.
“How can you be that ignorant?” Warner shot back.

In today’s hearing, Cassidy asked Kennedy if he agreed that Trump deserved a Nobel Prize for Operation Warp Speed, the 2020 initiative that quickly developed COVID vaccines.
“Absolutely, senator,” the health secretary said.
This surprised Cassidy, who asked why Kennedy would think so highly of Operation Warp Speed when the health secretary has attempted to restrict access to the vaccines and cancelled funding for mRNA vaccine research that was critical to the initiative’s mission.

The data has been out there since well before RFK Jr. took on this job. For the head of the department of health to pretend he doesn't know these numbers is ludicrous when anybody with an internet connection can get them.

99 pieces conclusively showing the vaccines are safe and extremely effective.
