He always caved in his dealings in NY real estate. He would always come in beating his chest and bloviating about this and that demands. But in the end he would settle for a small concession.
N. Korea, same thing. He got something (reduced testing and some soldiers remains). But gave up a lot. He gave international legitimacy to the leader of N. Korea and they are now standing pat as a Nuclear power.
Expect the same with NAFTA "renegotiations" and China Trade. All bluster and cosmetic results.

The facts are that once the export numbers for China came out on Aug 14th the trump team new they were in deep trouble, the tariffs were not slowing exports out of china one tiny bit. the June- July exports to the US were the highest 2 month total in history and China's exports to the rest of the world set back to back records.
All his tariffs have done is cost the American Consumer more and more money, His tarrifs are forcing more and more business to look overseas for their next factory, and Killed the American farmer.
but in the alternitive fantasy world of trump he wants to claim he is winning, and as long as the TT's keep their eyes on the breitbart's, conservative treehouse, and FOX news and call all other sources Fake news they will stay loyal to him as he drives this country into the ditch and gets it ready to hand over to the Russians.

tariffs started in very early July ( 2nd I believe ) export numbers were for July released in Aug.

July 5th at 12:01 AM was when they collected the money so with the 4th holiday about everything that hit the ports at the US would have had a tariff on it and with float times from China being somewhere between 22-35 days that means every Export that left China from the 1st of June on was subject to possible Tariffs.
And in spite of that threat exports from China to the US set a 2 month record.
and what is worse for the trump administration the rest of the world said we will take what you have to offer so don't worry about US tariffs.
