Are you aware of what that regulation involved?  You do know it would have had nothing to do with the latest, or any shooting  in recollection,  right?

It banned senior citizens and the disabled from arming themselves regardless of history.

Background checks currently include checks for mental illness and violence. 

So, in spite of the lame attempt to pander to the ill informed,  this claim carries no weight.
