Last week, we heard Obama tell business owners "You didn't build that, someone else built it for you".

* Re: More Lies Tim? I want a bank. I want to take one dollar and use it to buy a nice busy corner in a high end downtown and spend $10 million on advertising and still be under my reserve requirement.
I'd wrangle up $2 million in deposits offering CD's backed by the FDIC at a high rate (say 3%). Then I'd lend another $60 million out against the 2, and draw interest on all that.
Then I'd take the income and buy a stadium that was built by a city tax subsidy base, and put my name on it. The Bank of Stimpy Arena.
Then everyone would know how hard I worked for my money and how good I was at making it, plus more advertising. I'd be on board with the no taxes for the rich and keep government out of business though. Let me tell you right now, government has no business telling a smart guy like me how to make money. They damn sure don't deserve a cut of my profits. What did they do to earn it?

Sorry Sam.. If you are implying Obama took no credit for the Obama killing, you are mistaken.
If you feel he didn't say the following "If you've got a business -- you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen." you haven't been paying attention.
While this isn't quite as off the wall and out of touch as his "The private sector is doing just fine" gaffe, it seems to be getting more attention and demonstrating to more people just how inept and out of touch Obama is.
I do so enjoy when he get's off the teleprompter. His handlers will probably start working furiously to see that doesn't happen again, but there are about 3 months to go. I'm sure he'll have a few more chances to show America just how in touch a severely left leaning community organizer with about a year or so in the senate is, and perhaps they'll start to realize just why the economy is in the tank.

I'm sorry Stimpy, I thought you were posting something relevant to my original point. I've no doubt you'd like to start a bank with no money down and make a quazillion dollars. Who would not? But that has little do do with the 10's of thousands of businessmen out there who have built businesses from the ground up with some risk and a lot of hard work.
And yes, of course there is a need for government. I think the banking system needs a major overhaul.
